FEAR 2 - Part 5 - Death is in the air

fear 2 part 5
The face of death x2.

Things sure are starting to get intense as hell in F.E.A.R. 2. Cuz every single bullet that comes my way
seems to have my name on it. But i´m not having any of that crap. Cuz you all know me by now. I´m not going to give up for anything.

But i have to admit, it sure takes a lot of effort to stay alive on the higher difficulties. But that´s the way it´s should be right? Cuz if it ain´t challenging. Then what´s the point?

Well enough of that. Please enjoy part 5 of my F.E.A.R.2 series people!

Life Goes On - Our gameplay video

life goes on
Don´t fear death. Cuz death are a big part of Life Goes On.

It´s been a very long time since i had this much fun with a puzzle/platform game. but Infinite Monkeys "Life Goes On", really are bloody fun to play. And i can´t say that i have played that many games, where death actually are a important part of the game.

Because that´s how you advance in Life Goes On, by literally sacrificing your knights (as few as possible though). So hopefully you will enjoy the video =)

Oh btw, The full game will be available for Windows, Mac and Linux on the 16th of April. And you can pre-order the Life Goes On for $9,74 ;)

A really interesting "The making of" video indeed.

I have no idea (whatsoever) how i could miss out on this. I blame Brutal Doom and Discworld for this. Anyhow, thanks to a friend (Mr Simon) i heard about the "The making of The Last of Us" video just now. And it´s a really great making of video (still i have just watched the half of it so far).

So imo, it´s a must watch if you're a The Last of Us fan!

Godzilla - The king of monsters are back in business again

godzilla
Guess who´s back?

There are so many darn Godzilla movies. Honestly, i have lost count. But the Godzilla movie from 1998. Are really, really bad (5.2/10 via Imdb). And sadly enough, i pretty much lost interest in Godzilla after that movie. So the years just went by, and i didn´t think that much about Godzilla anymore.

But then out of nowhere, came this new made Godzilla movie (which will be released on the 18th of May this year). And yes, i have seen the trailer. But i don´t really know what to think of it. Sure, it´s rather powerfull. But so was the trailer for the 1998 version of Godzilla.

That´s also why i´m not going to get all "over excited" this time. Cuz the last time, i was really disappointed when i saw the new Godzilla movie. But hopefully, Godzilla 2014 won´t be just as bad as Godzilla 1998...

About Godzilla:
"An epic rebirth to Toho's iconic Godzilla, this spectacular adventure, from Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures, pits the world's most famous monster against malevolent creatures who, bolstered by humanity's scientific arrogance, threaten our very existence."

Press release:
"Dear members of the press!,

Last year Video Games Live successfully funded it's 3rd album on Kickstarter.  In fact... it was the 3rd highest grossing album of all time on Kickstarter raising over $285,000!

27 game composers and over 175 musicians from around the world got together to record the album!  We recorded in a total of 16 cities and 11 different countries including...

Tokyo, Japan
Paris, France
Prague, Czech Republic
Dubia, UAE
Santiago, Chile
Sao Paulo, Brazil
Lima, Peru
Buenos Aires, Argentina
Los Angeles, CA
San Francisco, CA
Denver, CO
Atlanta, GA
Philadelphia, PA
New York City, NY
Toronto, Canada
The Netherlands

The bulk of the symphonic and choir work was done by the very famous City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra and Chorale.  The orchestra is one of the most recorded and award winning orchestras in the world and have been around since the 1940's.  They have done HUNDREDS of movies, TV shows, commercials, live shows, albums and of course video games.  You might recognize some of their video game work in games like Banjo Kazooie, Call of Duty, Viva Pinata, Heavenly Sword, Company of Heroes, Kameo, Killzone and many more.  We utilized a 72 piece orchestra and 80 person choir.

Some of our Game Composer Musical Special Guests included...

Akira Yamaoka from the Silent Hill series (guitar)
Norihiko Hibino from the Metal Gear Solid series (saxophone)
Michael Land from LucasArts (keyboards)
Peter McConnell from LucasArts (acoustic guitar)
Clint Bajakian from LucasArts/Sony (bass guitar)
Laura "Flute Link" Intravia (vocals, flute)
Jillian Aversa from God of War, Halo, Soul Calibur series (vocals)
Chris "Vertex Guy" Kline from YouTube fame (guitar & bass)

...and myself... Tommy Tallarico on guitar.

The entire project was mixed at Skywalker Sound on George Lucas' Skywalker Ranch property.

Mastering of the album was done at the world famous Bernie Grundman's in Hollywood, CA. with symphonic genius (and multiple platinum and gold album recipient) Patricia Sullivan.  Patricia has worked with everyone from U2 to Paul McCartney to of course big film composers such as John Williams, Jerry Goldsmith, Danny Elfman, Hans Zimmer & James Horner (just to name a few).  Patricia is the person to go to IN THE WORLD for big Hollywood Symphonic music.  Some of her past movie soundtrack mastering projects include franchise films such as ET, Star Wars, Star Trek, Raiders of the Lost Ark, The Amazing Spider-Man, The Hunger Games, Pirates of the Caribbean and hundreds more!

Here is the final tracklist for the album.  For our 3rd album, our goal was not only to record some of the greatest video game music of all time... but to include some amazing music that people typically may not expect to hear on a video game compilation album.  Games like Beyond Good & Evil, Shadow of the Colossus, Monkey Island, Journey, etc.

Classroom Aquatic - I hate tests!

classroom aquatic
Yep, you better be smart (or cheat like a boss). Or, you will be shark bait in no time!

It´s not always easy to adapt to school when your a exchange student. At least that´s the case in Sunken Place Cheat-'em-up/stealth trivia game "Classroom Aquatic". Cuz the whole point of the game is to pass a test in a dolphin school.

Which of course are easier said than done. That´s also why you (the player) must cheat to pass the test. So, are you up for the test? ;)

I also forgot to mention that you can actually use the Oculus Rift (if you have one) in Classroom Aquatic. And oh, it was "Sunken Place" and NOT "Sunken Palace", sorry, my bad. Anyhow, please enjoy the video!

Game Developerz - The games industry card game

game developerz
A card game can´t get much more Gamer than this.

I have to admit that i havn´t played that many card games lately (digital and physical ones). But, that might just change thanks to Onion Squire´s "Game Developerz". Hell, even Ron Gilbert (the mastermind behind Monkey Island) and Nolan Bushnell (the Creator of Pong) likes Game Developerz.

So, what´s so great about Game Developerz then? Well, for starter. It´s a very uniq card game. Cuz the whole game concept are based on the video game industry (in a parody kind of way). And if i´m not wrong, some events in the game are actually based on real events that has happend in the video game industry in the past.

And Game Developerz are really, really close to reach it´s Kickstarter goal of £8,000 now (there´s only £500 missing at the moment). I should also point out that there´s also 37 days left on the Kickstarter watch.

So, if you feel like the whole concept behind Game Developerz. Then feel free to show the game some love ;)

"The art is great, the writing is funny and the humor skewers the game biz perfectly. My kind of game."Ron Gilbert, Creator of Monkey Island

"The graphics look good and I like the concept of the game." - Nolan Bushnell, Creator of Pong:

"We were really entertained, especially because a lot of these cards reflect some real situations during our development, and the cards are really funny." . Jarek Kolar, Senior Producer at 2K Czech

"It’s a really fun game and the rules are solid!" - Oli Smith, Producer

About Game Developerz:
"GAME DEVELOPERZ is an original card game you are going to love! The game is set in the computer game development world and is a funny kidding of all the dynamics and people in a gaming studio as well as all the actors of the games industry in general.

Up to now a prototype of the game has been introduced to just a few important people from the games industry. They wanted to help and give a feedback, and they all ended up being very excited about the game!"

Axe Peace - Sponsored video

axe peace
All you need is love, The Beatles.

"War, war never changes." The all so famous lines from the Fallout series. Read and spoken by Ron Perlman (Beauty and the Beast, Devil boy). Even though it´s a very short line, it´s a really powerful and meaningful line (for those whom understands the meaning of it).

Cuz it´s the truth. War never changes. But we (the people) have the ability to change. We can exchange hate with love instead. All this actually made me think about Charlie Chaplin´s famous "The Great Dictator" speach.

And The Beatles song "All you need is love". Speaking of love, i really like the new Axe commercial "Make love. Not war". So if you haven't seen the video yet. Check it out! Cuz it´s really good and funny imo =)

Classroom Aquatic - A stealth trivia game

classroom aquatic
Will you pass the test?

Kickstarter sure are a great service and opportunity for many creative creators world wide. But sadly enough, it´s quite hard for every one to stand out of the crowd. And only a handfull of the projects on Kickstarter gets founded.

So it sure takes just as much effort to make a great product. As to actually getting people to notice you and your project on Kickstarter. Just take Sunken Places stealth trivia game "Classroom Aquatic" for example.

Classroom Aquatic are such a uniq and fun game (i will make a gameplay video for it asap!). But still, the game hasn't reached it´s $30,000 goal on Kickstarter. And the time is running out fast. Cuz there´s just 7 days left on the Kickstarter watch now.

So if you like the Classroom Aquatic Kickstarter video. Then show the game some love asap!

About Classroom Aquatic:

Divinium: Challenge of Magic - Minecraft goes Magic Carpet

divinium challenge of magic
Well, it sure looks like a mix of Minecraft and Magic Carpet at least.

It seems like i´ve just discovered a rather nice indie found just now. Well, at least if you are a fan of Minecraft, Magic Carpet (Peter Molyneux old game), Sacrifice and Dungeon Keeper. I´m of course talking about Psyanotek´s RTS/RPG hybrid "Divinium: Challenge of Magic".

I was very impressed by the trailer. But sadly enough, there´s no demo (or alike) available at this moment. But i guess that´s better than nothing at all. So, please enjoy the trailer.

300 Rise of an Empire - The slaughterfest continues

300 rise of an empire
Something tells me that she´s a natural born killer.

The first 300 movie was pretty decent imo. It was not epic, but it sure was full of memorable scenes and dialogs. So that makes one wonder if Zack Snyder (Dawn of the Dead, 300, Sucker Punch) and Gianni Nunnari (From Dusk Till Dawn 1-3, 300, Immortals) , can pull off the same trick again?

Or more important so. Will they be able to make the 300 Rise of an Empire feel freash and new. Or will it just be 300 v2.0? (same, same but different). Well, Warners Bros has released 5 different trailers for Rise of an Empire so far.

And judging by the trailers. The movie at least seems to be full of action. But i guess that we have to wait until the release (which would be on the 7th of March) to find out whether the movie sucks or not.

About 300 Rise of an Empire:
"Based on Frank Miller's latest graphic novel Xerxes, and told in the breathtaking visual style of the blockbuster "300," this new chapter of the epic saga takes the action to a fresh battlefield—on the sea—as Greek general Themistokles attempts to unite all of Greece by leading the charge that will change the course of the war.

300: Rise of an Empire" pits Themistokles against the massive invading Persian forces led by mortal-turned-god Xerxes, and Artemesia, vengeful commander of the Persian navy.

Warner Bros. Picture presents, in association with Legendary Pictures, a Cruel and Unusual Films/Mark Canton/Gianni Nunnari Production, "300: Rise of an Empire." The action adventure stars Sullivan Stapleton ("Gangster Squad") as Themistokles and Eva Green ("Dark Shadows," "Casino Royale") as Artemesia. Lena Headey reprises her starring role from "300" as the Spartan Queen, Gorgo; Hans Matheson ("Clash of the Titans") stars as Aeskylos; and Rodrigo Santoro stars again as the Persian King, Xerxes."

Cat fights - A mix of Dragonball and angry cats

cat fights
No, it´s NOT about women/girls fighting with each other.

Cats have more or less ruled the internet for the past 10 years or so (or even more). Memes, Youtube videos, cute pictures in social media, you name it! Well, now it´s time for the cats to take over the video game industry as well.

At least if everything goes to plan for Flow Studios and their fighting game "Cat fights" (iOS, MAC and PC). The game are described as "Dragonball meets Cats". So i guess that we just have to wait and see how much truth there really is to that statement.

About Cat fights:
"Cat fights is a 1 vs. 1 multiplayer fighting game for the iPad,PC and Mac. With lots of crazy weapons, mind blowing finishing moves and fast-paced air-combat, cats fight against each other and will figuratively blow you away. If you love cats you can arm them with katana’s, fishes and lampposts, you name it. If you hate cats you can finally beat them up without remorse.

Dragonball meets Cats in a single player and multiplayer mode, there will be enough fighting for a whole universe! Everything is fair in a quest to beat the other cat with feline grace into submission in a dynamic. strategic fighting game on your iPad, PC and Mac."

Infantry Warfighter - The definitive warfighter FPS game

infantry warfighter
Can Infantry Warfighter live up to the hypè?

I bet that there´s quite a few out there that wants to take a big bite out of the Warfighter FPS market (which are totaly dominated by Battlefield, COD and Arma). And Ballistic Studio´s are one of those that want´s to take on both BF, COD and ArmA.

At least that´s the plan. Cuz their game "Infantry Warfighter" are meant to be THE "definitive warfighter FPS game". That sure are some really big words. But will Infantry Warfighter be able to live up to all that? Time will tell i guess.

The very first Infantry Warfighter trailer looked/looks promising though.

About Infantry Warfighter:
"Ballistic Studios would like to welcome you to the official website of our inaugural product, Infantry Warfighter. Our mission is to transcend the “stagnant” state of game development and design for the Modern Warfare First Person Shooter genre. Our key focus as a studio is to bring an experience to the public that has not been experienced before.

How say you? Well all we can tell you is we have worked feverishly to develop a game that will accomplish this. So feverishly that anyone who was ever a past member of this studio truly has no clue to what we are working on, in order to bring this product to its finality.

We at Ballistic Studios are sincere when we say “we believe that the Modern Combat First Person Shooter isn’t grinding down, but is actually just beginning.” It is our studios’ mission to show you through the product we create called Infantry Warfighter which will be “The Definitive Warfighter” for the MWFPS community."

Cute Bird - A Flappy Bird Adventure

cute bird
Flappy Bird lives on, so it seems.

I don´t need to retell the story about Flappy Bird and Dong Nguyen. Because that story has been told so many times now. But here´s something new at least. Im talking about PixelMind Games Android game "Cute Bird". Some may consider it as yet another "Flappy Bird" clone.

Brutal Doom The Soundtrack - 50,000 views!

brutal doom the soundtrack
Still one of the best video game soundtracks to date.

I just woke up to the great news that our Brutal Doom The Soundtrack video now has had over 50,000 views! That sure made my day. And it´s actually our very first 50K video as well. But we are still working hard to make a video that will reach 1 million views.

But it takes quite a lot of skill, talent, luck and timing to pull that off. But we hope to reach that goal before this year is over. Anyhow, a big thank you to everyone that has watched our Brutal Doom video =) Cheers people!

Tabletop Simulator - Beta v0.4

tabletop simulator
It´s Poker time baby!

Even though it´s been like, forever since i played any kind of Tabletop games (Chess and so on). I really feelt for Berserk Games Tabletop Simulator. Mostly because of the games advanced physics engine. But i also noticed that you actully could fool around quite a lot in Tabletop games.

Me, i wouldn't be that much surprised if someone actually builded something really neat in Tabletop games. Or make a art piece perhaps? Anyhow, enjoy the video people =)

And don´t forget to download the beta, and support Tabletop Simulator on Kickstarter if you like the game!

Strife! - Homestuck

strife homestuck
It´s a great album. I just wish that there would have been more songs to it.

Music are just as important as sleep, food, water and air to me. Cuz i can´t live without music. Honestly, i listen to music for at least 4-8 hours per day. And today i found yet another great band. This time it´s "Homestuck", and the album "Strife!".

Strife! are like a mix of Metal, anime and chiptune music. It´s hard to explain, so just listen to the music yourselves instead ;)

Wordspionage - A different kind of word game

wordspionage
It´s ALL about the words.

If your into word games. Then i´m quite sure that you will enjoy this game. I´m talking about Napland Games iOS and Android word game "Wordspionage" (it´s a free-to-play game). Cuz it´s not your "avrage" word kind of game. Let´s just say that there´s quite an "twist" to Wordspionage.

And the clue lays in the actuall name of the game ("spionage"). But don´t take my word for it. Check out the trailer instead!

About Wordspionage:
"Play against up to three opponents in one game. Choose the time limit and word guess limit per turn. Play up to 30 games simultaneously.

Wordspionage Dollars (WS$) are needed to initiate most Special Operations. New players start with WS$1,000. Play Mission Words to spin the Bonus Wheel and earn WS$ or extra game points. Use all seven tiles in your Tile Tray in one turn to spin the Bonus Wheel and earn WS$ or extra game points. Win games to spin the Bonus Wheel and earn WS$.

Awful Video Games - Mary-Kate and Ashley Video Games

mary kate and ashley sweet 16
It´s a GOTY title. Im just kidding ;)

I honestly didn´t even know that there existed a handfull of Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen video games. But yep, It´s 100% true. And yes, you guessed It. The games are pure garbage. Just for the fun of It, I gave "Sweet 16" a try, and I swear.

It was pure fu**ing torture of both my body and soul. Seriously, AVGN should play this piece of shit. Luckly enough though, I could drink my pain away (christmas beer ftw!). I bet that stanburdman had to drink quite a lot as well.

Cuz he made a review of "Sweet 16" back In 2009. And I bet that he still has nightmares to this very day. But If you like to torture yourself. Then just go ahead and play Sweet 16 til your eyes root!

Keyboard drumset fucking werewolf

keyboard drumset fucking werewolf
Easily one of THE most fu**t up games made to date.

You can think what you want about Jonatan Söderström (aka "Cactus"). But besides the fact that his one hell of a crazy bastard. He actually makes some really fun and fu**t up games.

And way back in time (2011 to be exact), "Cactus" made a little game named "Keyboard drumset fucking werewolf" (a FPS, third-person, platform, side-scrolling game).

Fucking Werewolf are actually the name of Dennis Wedin´s band (Jonatan Söderström´s friend and the other half of Dennaton Games). Anyhow, even though Keyboard drumset fucking werewolf are a pretty messed up game.

It´s a real nice acid trip really. I have to admit that i raged quite a lot on the boss stage in the beginning though. But other than that, i really enjoyed it. I also love the fact that Keyboard drumset fucking werewolf are full of NES references.

I mean the very first title screen are most obviously a salute to TMNT. And the first stage are of course a clone of Ice climber. And there´s no doubt (whatsoever) that the boss stage are a clone of Contra.

Anyhow, please enjoy the video people =)

Tangled Tut - A really neat physics puzzler

Help Tangled King Tut Escape His Tomb!

It seems like Malta are the next contry to become a big Gamer nation. Cuz in just a couple of months. I have seen at least three games that are being made in Malta. But this time it´s actually a physics puzzler game (and not a zombie or action game).

I´m talking about Pencilpig´s "Tangled Tut" (for iOS, Android, PC, MAC, and Linux). When i saw the trailer, i really had this great urge of wanting to play the game. So i can´t wait for that Kickstarter campaign to kick off!

Guardians of the Galaxy - Marvel + Vin Diesel = True!

guardians of the galaxy
Hmm, i wonder when Guardians of the Galaxy will be released in Sweden?

There seems to be no end to the ever ending lineup of Marvel movies. Honestly, i have lost count of all the Marvel inspired movies that´s been release over the past 6-7 years. Some of them are really good though, so i don´t complain.

But ever time i hear about a new Marvel movie. I just think for myself "Will it be something that i haven't already seen a million times before. Or will it really be something new?". And i´m having that same exact thought right now.

Cuz just in case you haven't heard it already. "Guardians of the Galaxy" are set for a release this summer (The 1th of August in the States). Me, it caught my eye because Vin Diesel and Zoe Saldana stars in it (im a big fan of both of them).

And due the fact that James Gunn (Lollipop Chainsaw, Dawn of the Dead, Thor: The Dark World) and Kevin Feige (The X-Men movies, Iron Man 1-3, Spider-Man 1-3) are working on Guardians of the Galaxy.

The movie might actually become really great in the end. I guess that we have to wait for the summer to find out. But until then, enjoy the trailer!

About Guardians of the Galaxy:
"From Marvel, the studio that brought you the global blockbuster franchises of Iron Man, Thor, Captain America and The Avengers, comes a new team—the Guardians of the Galaxy. An action-packed, epic space adventure, Marvel's “Guardians of the Galaxy” expands the Marvel Cinematic Universe into the cosmos, where brash adventurer Peter Quill finds himself the object of an unrelenting bounty hunt after stealing a mysterious orb coveted by Ronan, a powerful villain with ambitions that threaten the entire universe.

To evade the ever-persistent Ronan, Quill is forced into an uneasy truce with a quartet of disparate misfits—Rocket, a gun-toting raccoon, Groot, a tree-like humanoid, the deadly and enigmatic Gamora and the revenge-driven Drax the Destroyer. But when Quill discovers the true power of the orb and the menace it poses to the cosmos, he must do his best to rally his ragtag rivals for a last, desperate stand—with the galaxy's fate in the balance."

Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs - An Underrated Classic

Are "A Machine for Pigs" a underrated game? Well, it has a average score of 72.53% on Gamerankings.com

Ever since i uploaded the Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs soundtrack on our Youtube channel. There´s been this on going fight over the average rating scores for the game world wide. And that have created quite a lot of fuzz and confusion amoing Gamers and consumers.

Tabletop simulator - A online tabletop sandbox game

tabletop simulator
Tabletop simulator uses advanced ingame physics.

Sadly enough, my grandmother ain´t alive anymore. Cuz i know for sure that she would have loved Berserk Games Tabletop simulator (For PC, MAC and Linux). Because just like me, she really loved tabletop games. And i have to say that Tabletop simulator are the most advanced tabletop game i´ve ever seen so far.

The ingame physics really takes the tabletop digital experience to a whole nother level. So i´m not that much surprised to hear that Tabletop simulator became a huge success on Kickstarter. I mean, the goal was to collect $3,000, and at this moment.

Tabletop simulator has collected over $6,000. And still, there´s 18 days left on the Kickstarter klock. And to make things even better. You can actually download the beta of the game as well. So i´m going to do just that asap!

About Tabletop simulator:
"Tabletop Simulator is an online tabletop sandbox game with multiplayer physics. The sandbox nature of the game means there are no rules to stop you from playing however you want. Want to pick up and throw someone’s piece, go for it, but they might not ask you back to play. This freedom allows near limitless gaming possibilities; with a deck of cards alone you can play hundreds of games. In Tabletop Simulator we supply you the tools, so you have the freedom to play anything. Play a game of chess one minute, and with one click continue your epic role-playing adventure!

Through the use of multiplayer physics you can pick up, manipulate objects, and play a multitude of games just like you do in real life. Computer adaptations of these classic tabletop games lack the charm of their predecessors due to their restrictive nature. Just being able to pick up dice and roll like you can in Tabletop Simulator, is part of what makes a tabletop game a tabletop.

We are all about the basics here at Berserk Games and nothing is more fundamental than having a game night with the family or poker night with your bros. Now you won't have to miss out playing even if you are across the country."

The Gaming Ground Cribs - Part 1 - My studio

the gaming ground cribs part 1
The first part of our The Gaming Ground cribs series.

I woke up this morning and came up with the brilliant idea that we should do our own version of "MTV Cribs". Becouse, you guys don´t know that much about how we live, work and what´s going on behind the scenes. So i recorded the first "The Gaming Ground Cribs" video today.

Which would be my studio (where i also sleep), where i record and edit all of our audio recordings (Well, at least my parts). It´s not much of a studio at this time. But it´s a start. So i basically work in two different houses at this time.

You could say that we can´t be much more indie than this. Because we are really working from the bottom to the top. I should point out though, it was even worse when we started some years ago. Crappy computers, no recording equipment and so on.

But we have slowly starting to get some where. Anyhow, please enjoy the video ;)

Shadowrun Returns - Dragonfall Keys Away!

shadowrun returns dragonfall
Soon, very soon. I (we) will be able to play Dragonfall.

This has to be the very best Saturday in a very long time. At least in my case. Cuz i just received my key for the Shadowrun Returns expansion "Dragonfall". I won´t be able to play it before the 27th of February though. Cuz that´s when Dragonfall has it´s release.

Oh well, it´s still good news though. Cuz a lot of Shadowrun Returns fans have been waiting quite some time for Dragonfall to happen. And soon, the wait will be over!

"Hello from HBS!
We are happy to be sending you this unique Shadowrun: Dragonfall Steam key. You can add the game to your Library but, please note that it will not pre-load. You can download the game when it unlocks on Thursday, February 27 at 10am PST." Harebrained Schemes

Press release:
"We are excited to let you know that we have begun emailing Shadowrun: Dragonfall keys to all Backers and anyone who ordered the Shadowrun Returns Collector’s Edition from the HBS website. You can add the game to your Library with your key when you receive it, but note that it will not pre-load. You can download the game when it unlocks on Thursday, February 27 at 10am PST.

It will take a few days to get all the emails out, so watch your inbox and be sure to check your spam folder. If you don’t receive it by the end of the day on Monday, please contact us at [email protected] . We thank you for your patience in advance!

Please note that if you previously requested a GOG.com key for Shadowrun Returns, we will begin sending Dragonfall GOG keys early next week. If you have not requested a GOG or Humble Store key yet and would like one, no problem! Just shoot us an email and we’ll get that to you as soon as we can.

Update on the DRM-free Version of the Game
We've been so impressed with the level of service that our partners at GOG.com and Humble Store have been able to provide that we have decided to let them handle all future DRM-free updates. This will allow us to stay focused on Shadowrun. If you haven’t requested DRM-free keys yet, and would like one, please send us your Kickstarter email address along with which partner you prefer so you can continue to have access to those updates."

Spreading the News Far and Wide
As you know, Dragonfall originally started as the promise of a "second city" during our Kickstarter campaign, but the length and breadth of this story has been expanded into a full-fledged 12+ hour stand alone campaign. The expansion features a memorable team, compelling choices, strategic depth, and a bunch of new gameplay and editor features, including the ability to save your progress anytime. (And remember, you’ll be able to save anywhere in the original Dead Man’s Switch campaign, too.) We're really proud of Dragonfall, and we'd love your help making sure your friends know just how much adventure awaits them!

A great way to do that is to share this awesome preview that Kotaku's Mike Fahey wrote this week. We sent Mike a preview of the first couple hours of the game, and we were thrilled to see that he really "gets" what we're doing with Dragonfall - listening to YOU, our audience, to evolve and improve the Shadowrun experience. Below are a couple of new screen shots we shared with him. You can find more screen shots along with the Dragonfall trailer and wallpaper on the HBS website.

Finally, here are a couple more things to note:

More Localizations!
As part the of Kickstarter, we promised German localization of Shadowrun Returns and we're happy to announce that it is now available on Steam. Russian localization is also currently available and Chinese is in the works.

Shadowrun Editor Community Contest and Sweepstakes
In celebration of the launch of Shadowrun: Dragonfall and, in honor of all the terrific stories created by Shadowrun fans, we have teamed up with our friends at Intel to create the Shadowrun Editor Community Contest.

Content Creators can submit their work in four categories: Maps, Props, Short Story and Long Story and you can help your favorite Content Creator by voting for them every day. HBS will choose from your favorites and finalists will receive a Design Consultation to improve their content along with a Shadowlab or Let’s Play video of their story featuring Jordan.

Additionally, ANYONE can enter the Sweepstakes to win an Intel Ultrabook 2-in-1 Convertible, Shadowrun swag, or copies of Shadowrun Returns and Shadowrun: Dragonfall. Check it out here!

Thanks for staying with us all the way to Berlin! See you in the shadows, chummers!

Hyrule Warriors - Zelda goes hack n slash?

hyrule warriors
This wasn't exactly the Zelda game that the fans been asking (Waiting) for...

Nintendo are desperately trying to keep the Wii-U alive. But game lineup for the Wii-U haven't been that much impressive so far. That´s probably why the Wii-U have sold so bad. Cuz the nr 1 thing that people (Gamers, fans and the consumers) have complained about.

Are the lack of games for the Wii-U. And don´t think that Nintendo and Tecmo Koei´s "Hyrule Warriors" (a action/hack-and-slash game) will change that fact that much. It´s quite obvious that Nintendo are struggling to renew themselves and their old franchises.

Cuz, basically it´s just "same, same but different" again...And honestly, i think people are kind of fed up with being fed with the same games over and over again. However, IF Hyrule Warriors actually turns out to be a good game (it´s set for a release this year).

Then it's at least one step in the right direction for Nintendo. But we all know how important E3 will be for Nintendo this year. Cuz Xbox One and the PS4 will show no mercy...

PC Gamer UK follows us on Twitter

Well ain´t that cool?

I just woke up to yet another day in the land of winter terror. The Swedish winter really sucks hard. In fact, it was a darn miracle that i even got out of my house. Becouse the door was stuck due the snow! But at least i received some good news when i logged in to Twitter this morning.

I also noticed another funny thing. Every time that we make great success in some field, people from Sweden unfollow us on Twitter, talk shit or try to spread false rumors about us. I guess it´s the all so famouse "Den svenska avundsjukan" (The Swedish jealousy) that hunts us.

But honestly, as long as we keep on advancing and reaching new goals (and get news fans and so on). We don´t really care. Becouse believe it or not. There´s actually a whole world outside of Sweden ;)

Daylight - Release on the 8th of April

daylight
I freaking HATE dolls...

It´s almost show time for Zombie Studios survival horror game "Daylight". Cuz as some of you already know. The release for Daylight has been nailed down to the 8th of April. There´s also a locked price for both the PS4 and PC version of the game (which is €14.99 on Steam and the PSN store).

So let´s just hope that Daylight lives up to all the hypé...

Story:

Where we last left off…

1939-1948:
In the late 30s, a tourist steamboat caught fire and capsized off the coast of New Kipling, drowning more than 1000 passengers. The bodies of the victims washed up on the shores of Mid Island, and the hospital was quickly converted into a makeshift morgue to handle all the corpses.

The remaining survivors of the shipwreck were treated at MIH, but with limited resources and growing costs, the MIH was unable to recover from the specter of a tragedy of that magnitude. The hospital closed its doors abruptly one day in 1948.

“Affluence would offer no protection from them. Some would say, they suffered the most.
Exposure…Disaster… The flames rose up on their lavish display.” - Dr. Mercer

1907-1935:
This was a dark period for Mid Island. The turn of the century brought about plenty of medical advances that drastically reduced the need for a hospital; the early 1900s also brought about a massive wave of criminals. To deal with the influx of prisoners, a portion of Mid Island Hospital is retrofitted into a prison. Patient rooms were given prison bars and filled with the criminal and criminally insane.

The isolated island made it an ideal location to sweep the malcontents under the proverbial rug, and the out-of-sight-out-of-mind corrections facility quickly became overcrowded. Overcrowding beget prison violence, and after a string of brutal injuries, murders, and allegations of illegal and immoral medical experiments, the prison quickly came under scrutiny. The Great Depression all but wiped out funding for the prison, and 6 years after the economy crashed, the prison ward was abandoned and Mid Island penitentiary reverted to Mid Island hospital.

“The curse grew stronger as time went on. With each year further tightening its grip. They built steel cages to contain its resolve. Enslavement, Isolation. Reckless Abandon. The city would burn with hatred and fear.” – Dr. Mercer

1700 - 1859
Skipping back nearly two hundred years, we get to the initial founding of Mid Island Hospital. As colonial America began to flourish, so too did rampant Tuberculosis. Between the ravages of the disease and the various wars with the French, Native Americans, and eventually British, Mid Island Hospital tended to several generations of death. Corpse disposal was haphazard at best, and was accomplished by any means. As America turned on itself in the Civil War, Mid Island Hospital retreats to obscurity until the early 1900s.

“It began with Infection. A black veil of Sickness. Disease and Despair, sudden and swift.” – Dr. Mercer

“They moved the afflicted to this place where you stand. They thought it would protect and leave them to grow. Then came Corruption, Persecution…. and Chaos.” – Dr. Mercer

New Areas:

The Prison:
The Prison area unlocks after players find their way out of Dr. Mercer’s office. The hospital doors are replaced with iron bars, nurses’ stations replaced with guard checkpoints, and the prison is punctuated with lurking 3-story stack of prison cells.

Remnants players will find in this area are notes from prisoners to each other, guard logs about various altercations, and even a few cover-ups of impropriety. The spirits players begin to encounter in the prison are the first ones in the game that start to get aggressive. Staying safe in the prisons will require being able to quickly and efficiently navigate the prison block, but the tight corridors and guard rooms will put players to the test.

The Forest:
One of the later levels in Daylight is the Forest. After players traverse through the Prison and the Sewers, they will find themselves outdoors in a big open area, lit only by the trusty mobile phone light and the faint glow of a sallow moon.

Despite being a giant open area of scrub land and swamps, the Forest still has the same procedurally generated environments as the rest of Daylight. Several notable landmarks will be randomly generated in the open world. The random landmarks will also contain the location of the remnants to find, but only the bravest players will live long enough to see what kind of horrors the forest holds (the shack full of nooses is a personal favorite of mine).

News:

RealD 3D:
The PlayStation 4 and PC version of Daylight will be fully 3D compatible out of the box! 3D- enabled TVs and monitors will bring the scares, jumps and all other things that haunt the Mid Island area to life in a very tangible way. RealD3D is the same technology they use in movie theaters for 3D movies and excels at giving the game terrific depth-of-field.

Catching an overhead light flicker down an incredibly long corridor is one of the more chilling 3D applications…until you come across a spirit, that is. If you have the means, we highly recommend giving this mode a try. Oh and rumor has that Daylight may be adapted to a consumer VR system in the near future, for those brave enough…

PS4 Multimedia Integration:
This is a very cool feature that we’re super stoked about. It’s no secret that Daylight is extremely friendly for the PS4’s “Share” button (ditto, PC streaming). The tinkerers at Zombie Studios found a way to use Twitch chat to cue in-game events. The example we’ve been tossing around (and is in no way final) is that someone watching a stream types the word “Meow” into the chat, which causes the game to make a corresponding sound of a cat. So yes. You can literally scare your friends now by watching the stream. There are two caveats to this:

1) They’re all on timers, so you can’t spam them. That would be ridiculous.
2) We’re not going to tell you the list of words. You’re going to have to find them through
experimentation.

Price:
So this is something that I think a lot of people have been waiting to hear about. We finally have a price locked in: the PC and PS4 versions of Daylight will each cost €14.99/£11.99 on Steam and in the PlayStation Store and release on April 8, 2014. Stay tuned for pre-order details!

Wolfenstein: The New Order and the Doom beta

wolfenstein doom beta
For Xbox One only?

Last night i saw something rather interesting on Twitter. Cuz Bethesda told the whole world (well, at least the land of Twitter) about the Doom beta. Because it seems like everyone that pre-orders Wolfenstein: The New Order and the for Xbox One, will get their hands on the Doom Beta (Doom 4?).

Cuz there seem to be no word about the PC or PS4 version at this time (if the PS4 and PC players will get their hands on the Doom beta or not) I guess that we just have to wait and see. But at least now we know that Doom are still alive and kicking!

"Bethesda + #Wolfenstein: The New Order [RP] + a chance to play the #DOOM [RP] beta? Yes, please. pic.twitter.com/5MtUxs2QGE"Bethesda, via Twitter

Antilogy - Panda Dub

antilogy panda dub
This awesome album is yours for 4 Euro.

I have heard a lot of different varieties of dnb and dub electro throughout the years. But i have never heard a mix of dub and reggae before. But that´s exactly what Panda Dub´s "Antilogy" album are all about. Imo, it´s groovy as hell.

And it´s that kind of music that makes you happy. Let´s just say that i pretend to be somewhere in the caribbean, on a beach with a drink in my hand. Cuz once again, the Swedish winter strikes back with full force.

So yeah, the Antilogy album sure made my day day a "whole" lot better =)
