Habitat: gets new features and updates

habitat
Habitat get´s more and more cool features over time.

Yesterday i was informed that 4gency has released a hanful of new features and updates for their space-themed strategy game "Habitat". And much of the new features are stuff that the fans have asked for. And that really proves that 4gency cares about their fans and community (that´s the way it should be).

So if you´re interested to know more about the new features in Habitat. Then you can read all about it down below. And if you would like to get your hands on the Early Access version of Habitat. Then you can pre-order the game via Steam for 14,99 Euro.

New Features
- Save and Load your Habitat progress. Save Game and Load Game options are now in the Settings screen in-game, and Load Game is an option on the Main Menu and upon player death.
- Random missions. Take on space stations and nano machine clouds for rewards at random points along the map. There are two types of missions in this first version: Station hunting and nano cloud defense. They will be picked at random. Once a mission is completed, a new one will start in 30 seconds.
- Brand-new user interface for habitat control - major rework of buttons, resource counts, and more
- A lot has moved around to make way for the mission list and in order to give a more responsive feel to the game’s controls.
- You’ll find most of your controls along the bottom-left corner. Resource counts are now in the top- left.
- Keyboard controls remain unchanged.

Features We Missed
Fog of war - this one didn’t make the cut for the v0.30 update, falling behind save, missions, and the tutorial system. As it can dramatically impact usability and gameplay, we want to be sure it’s up to scratch before unveiling it, and it wasn’t ready for primetime. Stay tuned!

Smaller Features and Fixes
Selecting “Build Connector” mode no longer makes projectiles disappear.
Turret angles no longer “nudge” accidentally when selected in HAL

After Reset: The Fall of Gyes - A sci-fi post-apocalyptic RPG

after reset the fall of gyes
After Reset made it big time when Black Cloud Studios it rebooted on Kickstarter.

I honestly thought that Black Cloud Studios "After Reset: The Fall of Gyes" (a game that´s Inspired by Fallout 1 and 2, Baldur's Gate and Planescape:Torment) was gone for life, when i heard that game failed to reach it´s Kickstarter goal. But that was a long time ago. Beacuse when After Reset got a second chance on Kickstarter back in July.

After Reset just wrecked the Kickstarter goal with $94,000! (the original goal was to collect $35,000). And good thing that, because After Reset looks freaking awesome. I mean, i don´t think that a Sci-fi post-apocalyptic RPG could get much more bad ass than this.

Speaking of which. The Kickstarter campaign may be over. But you can still support After Reset by pre-ordering the game (for either PC, MAC and Linux). And there´s quite a few pre-order options to choose from. Everything from $25 to $2,500 (you will get the Steam Early Access version of the game no matter which option you pick though).

And in case you wonder. There´s no release date nailed down for After Reset at this time.

About After Reset:
After Reset RPG - an old-school hard sci-fi post-apocalyptic roleplaying game inspired by such video games as Fallout 1/2, Baldur’s Gate and Planescape: Torment.

The plot:

Planet Earth. 132 years after the 'Reset', the thermonuclear apocalypse that ended human civilization. Around one third of the globe is covered by 'Yellow Zones' where the ruins of cities are covered with radioactive dust. In these areas, anarchist survivor groups have taken control where uncontaminated food and drinking water are valued on a par with human life.

Another third of the earth is in the agony of the 'Red Zones', the the epicentres of the deadly anomalies that arose as a result of a nuclear chain reaction in the atmosphere and the morphing of the planet. The majority of life is not capable of surviving in the Red Zones that makes them a perfect home for mutants. The planet is unrecognizable.

Brigador - A indie mech action game

brigador
Most likley one of THE coolest games on Steam right now.

I never thought that i would get this much excited over a action game ever again. But then again. Stellar Jockeys and Gausswerks action/mecha game "Brigador" (for PC, MAC and Linux). Made me think about Bullfrogs Syndicate. And Syndicate dominated the 90s like a golden Gaming god.

So i really hope that Brigador will become something really epic as well. And if everything goes according to plan. The Brigador are set for a release on Steam in September sometime this year. I should point this out though.

You can pre-order Brigador for 15 bucks via the games homepage. So i might just do that.

About Brigador:
"Great Leader is dead. You have one night to liberate Solo Nobre. Brigador is an isometric vehicular action game. Choose the right vehicle and weapons to suit your play style, and face off against the occupying factions. Discover tactics and unlock new vehicles and weapons as you clear the city or die trying, then do it all over again."

Legena: Union Tides - A turn-based RPG gem

legena union tides
Legena made me think about a really, really old Snes game called "Lagoon" (i freaking love that game!).

They say that you can´t live in the past. But what if the past is a part of the present? Besides, whitout the past. There would be no future (or present for that matter). Don´t worry, I´ll get to the point shortly. During the golden 16-bit era there was a ton of kickass RPG games.

Shining Force 2, Phantasy Star IV, Final Fantasy 6, Chrono Trigger, you name it! And Grandpa Pixel hopes to bring some of that magic back with their upcoming turn-based RPG game "Legena: Union Tides". At least if Legena manages to reach it´s £1,000 goal on Kickstarter.

Which i think it will. I mean, Legena are almost 70% funded already. And there´s still 23 days left on the Kickstarter campaign. And i´m going to tell you guys this much. I tried the demo, like, one hour ago. And Legena brought back a lot of awesome 90s memories to me.

So if you´re into old school turn-based RPG´s. Then you should most definitely download and try Legena! And if you like the demo. Then show the game some love on Kickstarter.

Release Date: Fall 2015
Price: $5
Platform: PC / Android / OUYA / GameStick (Xbox ONE, PlayStation 3/4/Vita, Linux, Mac and iOS pending)

About Legena: Union Tides:
You play Tetiro Aceus and Atesan Turwin as they travel across the seas of Dynol and the desert of Vesira in hopes to solve the great mystery of the Narrator, a childhood monster that was thought to be a legend. You will meet a cast of one-of-a-kind heroes and villains in your journey to solve mysteries.

Gameplay is like this:
Explore the world and its intriguing towns and dungeons battling enemies and evolving your characters as you progress through the story!

Features:
- Defeat your foes in a dynamic turn-based combat system
- Use power spells by equipping feathers
- Harness the power of the weather to give your allies a great advantage
- Make choices that have an impact on the friends and foes around you
- Increase the difficulty of the playthrough with the difficulty grid
- A classic dark 16-bit RPG feel

The Bible Videogame: David - The Tornado Twins creation

the bible videogame david
David Vs goliath. We all know how that story ended (don´t we now?).

Earlier today the Tornado Twins contacted us. This time it did not involve a entertainment video (which it normally does in the case with the Tornado Twins). Well, not this time. Nope, instead they told me about a game that their working on.

A game that´s based on the bible. And it´s called "The Bible Videogame: David". As soon as i head that. I instantly thought of the really old NES game "Bible adventures" (Google that + AVGN). But hopefully The Bible Videogame won´t be anything like that game.

So, what does it take to make the Bible Videogame happened then? $35,000 via Kickstarter (which will contain 3 Episodes), to be exact. I´m not a religious person. But still, i´m quite curious about this game. Because religious or not, the bible got quite a few cool stories (that could get transformed into awesome video games).

And so far things are going really well for the Tornado Twins and friends. Because they have collected over $28,000 in just a couple of days. And there´s still 27 days left on the Kickstarter campaign. So there´s no doubt in my mind (whatsoever), that The Bible Videogame will miss it´s Kickstarter goal.

So it´s going to be way more interesting to see how many extended goals The Bible Videogame will reach (there´s 7 more episodes to be made IF The Bible Videogame collects enough money). Because there´s a handful of extended goals for the game. Well, i wish the Tornado Twins the best of luck!

About The Bible Videogame:
The goal is to create a cutting-edge gameplay experience that will make you experience the stories of the Bible in a completely new way. It will be true to the Bible. Thanks for being part of that vision! You're awesome.

Zombie Night Terror - The zombie version of Lemmings

zombie night terror
ZNT are lika a mix of Lemmings, pixel graphics and The Return of the Living Dead.

I honestly never thought that i would see anyone combine two of the things that i love the most (whitin each respektive area). And that would be Lemmings (one of the best puzzle games ever created) and The Return of the Living Dead (a zombie cult classic).

But that´s exactly the case with"Zombie Night Terror" (for PC and MAC). I just watched the only trailer for the game (it was uploaded this August), and i can´t wait to give this bad boy a try! I mean, you actully get the chance to lead a whole army of brain eating zombies.

How can you turn down a game like that?

Features:
- The game is set in a world plunged into darkness and where the dead has risen from the grave. The player have to lead hordes of undead in order to wreak havoc among human survivors.
- The game uses Unity and is currently set to release on Windows and Mac Os – Linux might come later.
- The aim is to publish an early access version of the game before the end of the year.
- The game features a unique black & white pixel art style where the only color comes from spays of blood and limbs.
- Multiple mutations are useable to overcome the various situations the player will encounter. It is even possible to combine some of them.
- There are various environments full of deadly traps protecting the zombie favorite meals, Humans!
- An in-game level editor allows anyone to create custom levels and share them with the community.
