China is selling more Xbox One's than Japan!comment_here

Can China become an strong allied for Microsoft and the Xbox One?

Microsoft has found a foot in the foreign market at last, and its in China! Earlier this month we saw that Japan wasn't selling the Xbox One the way Microsoft preferred, but that wasn't their fault. Since Microsoft is an American company, it's hard to have a foothold in Japan when so many consumers take an anit-american stance on purchasing products.

only having sold roughly 20,000 units to date so far, Microsoft isn't too happy with Japan's performance but we'll get to that in a little bit. On the other hand, China having recently lifted their console ban has seen immense growth, and is flourishing under the Microsoft banner

They've sold over 100,000 consoles so far, and it doesn't appear to be stopping. The desire to simply have a console available is the reason Chinese consumers have indulged in the Xbox One--that is to say bought into the company.

Japan on the other hand has always had a steady stream of home consoles with exclusive titles to keep them satisfied until the newest exclusive comes around, and lets face it--Microsoft isn't a RPG, or action adventure company, so for a Japanese gamer they're given a choice: Call of Duty, or Halo?

Final Fantasy will be one of the first staples for the sales to boost the Xbox One in Japan, and the second will be Kingdom Hearts 3, if it comes to Next-gen. Microsoft will have to start getting the exclusive titles out faster for the Japanese market If it wants to yield the success it voraciously shout about in its press conferences.

For now Sony still hasn't presented their swords or shields on the matter of entering China, as they're preparing all of their exclusives for the PS4, and the PS Vita. The greatest thing about this so far, is that there's no telling how long we'll have to wait to see classics revived for the PS4 that were on the PS2 and PS3.

Microsoft has very stiff competition, and the worst part is it's with their consumer base, not a rival company like Sega, Sony, or Nintendo. My biggest hope is that they get a Japanese liason who can help to set up a Japanese Microsoft division and bridge the gap to the land of the rising sun, because without someone the people of Japan trust and acknowledge--they won't see an ounce of success beyond those mere 20,000 units sold YTD.
