Star Wars Battlefront will be showcased at E3 this summer!
So, we meet again dear Star Wars Battlefront.
Electronic Arts has confirmed during its financial briefing overnight, that Star Wars Battlefront will be showcased at E3 next month. They also noted that the title is progressing “very, very well.” With Amy Henning at the helm as the creative director, I wouldn’t be surprised at all.
She was previously the writer for the upcoming Uncharted for the PS4. Remember she left Naughty Dog, and Sony earlier this year to join Visceral Games; and EA.
“Frostbite 3 and the associated development tool set that comes with that means that the team has been able to iterate and drive innovation very quickly and get to a high quality quickly and certainly," commented EA CEO, Andrew Wilson. "There's lots and lots of work to go. But we do plan to show more about [that] and other new projects in development at E3 this year."
Star Wars Battlefront will be developed by DICE, and use the Frostbite 3 engine. Even though Star Wars Battlefront isn’t likely to see a release window until late 2015.
It’s unknown whether or not it’ll be playable at E3. Regardless of this tiny detail, the game is highly anticipated in a lot of social circles, especially because Star Wars episode 7 may be getting a release date; and synopsis soon. The game is in the works for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Let me know your thoughts on the upcoming game, and your excitement level in the comments section below.
