Playstaton Plus update July - Mixed feelings
What is love? baby dont hurt me, don´t hurt me no more!
North American PS Plus subscribers have a lot of mixed news to look forward to, this coming June. For starters Sony will be changing the way that they have configured the Instant Game Collection. In the past the games you downloaded from PS Plus would stay in your collection for an arbitrary and undetermined amount of time.
Starting in July however, Sony will adopt a structured schedule for arrivals and departures. New additions to the Instant Game Collection will be available from the first Tuedsday of the current month until the first Tuesday of the following month, where it will rotate out with the next title.
Now that we have a set schedule to get the games we want each month without delay, Sony has also announced that there will be two games available each month for the Playstation 3, Playstation 4, and the Playstation Vita.
Sony also mentioned on the Playstation Blog, that many alumni titles on the Instant Game Collection will be gradually removed over the next few weeks. But as we already know from past experience, once the game is added to your own collection, it is yours as long as you remain a Playstation Plus subscriber.
What this will mean for those who begin the download, and back out just to keep it in the history for later is that it will no longer be present when the time elapses. So as of July that feature will be patched unfortunately.
