Doom Reborn Pre-Beta v1.0 - Doom goes Doom 3

Doom Reborn runs on the Doom 3 engine.

I (like many others) are waiting patiently for Sergeant Mark IV to release Brutal Doom V20, and for ID Software to release their new Doom game. But it seems to take quite a while for that to happen. So in the meantime i might just give Gamehacker´s "Doom Reborn" (Pre-beta v1.0, it´s 224MB big in size) a try.

And for those who doesn't know, Doom Reborn are Doom 1 with Doom 3´s graphics. That sounds pretty cool huh? Well, just wait til you see Doom Reborn in action. In fact, you will find a 54 minute long gameplay video down below ;)

And IF you decide to download Doom Reborn, don´t forget to download the GX update (it´s a small update for Doom Reborn pre beta v1.0) as well.

About Doom Reborn:
Doom Reborn is a total conversion mod for Doom3 of the original Doom Series. Our goal is to recreate the original Doom & Doom 2 in the Doom3 engine with new textures and new models of the original weapons and monsters with the maps redone and retextured. We also want to bring back the orignal doom hud but retextured and with a 3d model of doom guys head in the center (simlar to q3 & et). we will have a look a remaking the orignal music along with the sounds. I hope that you will enjoy the project as much as we will enjoy making it for you.

Spelunky Metroid Mod - A great mix of Metroid and Spelunky

Pure platform perfection to the bone!

There´s no doubt (whatsoever) that Spelunky are a great platform game on it´s own. But when i heard about the Spelunky Metroid Mod. My jaw just dropped to the floor. Yes, it´s that DAMN good. Because the mod has taken the best parts of Metroid and Spelunky, and mixed them all together.

And that has given us the uber great mod (game) called "Spelunky Metroid Mod". A mod thatyou can't afford to miss really. At least not if you love action and platform games.

"Spelunky Metroid Mod alters the graphics, music and text to a Metroid theme. SMM does not(significantly) alter gameplay. Some things are a little different however, for example bats are now a little harder to see, skeletons now look a little different depending on whether they are live or not, etc.. But basically SMM is purely an aesthetic change to Spelunky."

Brutal Doom v20 - New ceiling blood effects

Oops, did i do that?

Not so long ago i wrote that Sergeant Mark V are hard at work with v20 of Brutal Doom. Well, just recently he released a brand new Brutal Doom v20 video ("New ceiling blood effects"). And i have to say that i love what i´ve seen of v20 so far.

And due the fact that i´m almost done with Doom 2. I´m not going to play (or record) Final Doom before Brutal Doom v20 get´s released. Because that would just be plain stupid imo (because why would you play a less epic version?). However, there´s no release date for v20 at this time.

But i´ll keep you guys updated on the progress =)

The GTA IV Watch Dogs mod is finally out!

Watch Dogs? Nope, GTA4. But with the Watch Dogs mod installed.

It´s a GTA IV (GTA4) mod. Not a GTA V (GTA5) mod. Sorry about that.

Rock Stars Grand Theft Auto V has been out since September last year (for 360 and PS3). And ever since then, the PC players has ranted over the lack of a PC-version of GTA5. It toke a while, but Rock Star will release GTA5 to PC in the near future (Fall, according to Steam).

But even though GTA5 hasn't been release to PC yet. There´s still a very strong mod scene for GTA5. And the Watch Dogs mod (script) just blow me away. And if you watch GTA X Scripting´s video, then you will understand why i feelt like that.

Brutal Doom v20 - Because Brutal ain't brutal enough!

I have no idea (whatsoever) how i could have missed out on this. Because i really don´t know why i just now found out about Brutal Doom v20. Let´s just say that i find it rather strange that no one has talked that much about it.

It was just pure luck that i heard about it today (i was going through some old videos of mine. And i saw a comment from a fan that mentioned Brutal Doom v20). Anyhow, it´s true. Sergeant mark IV (the maker of the Brutal Doom mod) has been working on v20 for several months now.

Mark has also uploaded a handful of Brutal Doom v20 videos on Youtube. And i have to say that i like the improvements that he has added to v20. Like the ragdoll physics for example. So when i´m done with Doom 2, i´m just going to wait for v20 to come out.

Because i see no point of playing Final Doom on v19.

Skywind - The Resurrection of Morrowind

Morrowind are back In business again!

Even though Bethesdas Skyrim are far from a bad game (It´s epic In almost every single way). "Some" people still think that Morrowind are a way better game. I have to agree to that, at least when It comes to a open world. Because In Morrowind, the world are really open.

I could explore the world for hours! So Im not that surprised to hear that more and more people, fall In love with the Skyrim mod "Skywind". Cuz It really takes the best parts of both Skyrim and Morrowind, and weld them together.

So If you´re a fan of the TES series. Then you don´t wanna miss out on Skywind! 

What IS Skywind exactly?
"It is a non-commercial, fan made modification for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim that seeks to merge the amazing world of The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind with the enhanced graphics and capabilities of Skyrim's engine.

While ownership of both games is required to play, the player only actually plays Skywind using the Skyrim game, and not the older Morrowind game. This means that the user interface, combat, graphics, and system requirements for the Skywind mod are all those of Skyrim, and NOT Morrowind."
