There will be no Mortal Kombat for the Wii U

mortal kombat
Nintendo have had problems with the Mortal Kombat franchise since the early 90s.

According to Ed Boon said there is a 0.0% chance of the Super Nintendo Mortal Kombat games making their way to the Wii U's Virtual Console. Speaking with Gametrailers back in 2011, Boon showed interest in the Wii U's GamePad controller, but this didn’t guarantee that he wanted to make a move on the idea.

This recent Tweet doesn't necessarily say we won't ever see Mortal Kombat on the Wii U, just that we will never see the original Mortal Kombat games on the console's Virtual Console.

This is pretty discouraging, since we did see the latest version of Mortal Kombat re-claim its title as the king of gore in 2011. Within this game lied the fudamentals, that many of us as gamers remembered; and loved as kids well on into our adulthood. I would like to sincerely know why Ed Boon doesn’t want to keep the trend going, especially because this new generation needs to experience Mortal Kombat.

Hopefully Mortal Kombat 9 will get a Wii U port, just as Mortal Kombat Armageddon did for the classic Wii. The only problem I can forsee is that we will not see DLC, since Nintendo would never allow Mario, and company to have fatalities, or have them executed. But if it does get ported I would hope we receive a date for Mortal Kombat 10 afterwards.

Mario Kart TV - Nintendo allows direct uploads to Youtube

mario kart 8 us bundle
Yep, there will be a $330 Mario Kart 8 premium bundle for North America.

There´s no doubt in my mind (whatsoever), that Nintendo has escaped the downward spiral. Because now they seem to do everything right, and take the right decisions. Even the doomed Wii-U are back from the dead now. And it´s all thanks to Mario Kart 8 (which made med pre-order the Mario Kart 8 bundle).

That's A magnificent achievement indeed. But there´s still a lot of job left to be done. So when i heard about "Mario Kart TV" (it allows player to upload gameplay videos directly to Youtube). I knew that Nintendo are on the right track now.

Because Nintendo has always (more or less) been very anti internet. But now it seems like Nintendo are finally ready to step into the internet age. And yes, the US will get the Mario Kart 8 premium bundle as well. So i guess that there will be a lot of Mario Kart 8 players to play against by the end of May =)

Game on says i!

Mario Kart 8 - The Wii-U bundle pack

mario kart 8 wii u bundle
The Mario Kart 8 bundle can be yours for £250.

Nintendo confirmed the Mario Kart 8 Wii U bundle for Europe today, but there's no word yet if it's coming to North America. Let’s keep our fingers crossed on this.

The Premium bundle packs in the 32GB black Wii-U with a hardcopy of the game, and all the accessories pictured within. It's launching alongside the game on May 30, priced £250 in the UK according to Nintendo's store.

Mario Kart 8
Mario Kart 8 will be released on the 30th of May in EU (the US have to wait for a release date though).

For around £50 more, owners can align with one of Nintendo's plumber brothers in Mario and Luigi themed Wii U pack (Notice that the accessories are themed Luigi?) packages bundle in your choice of red or green hats, Game-Pad protectors, Wii-U racing wheels and non-additional Wii Remote Plus controllers.

You also receive a game guide, which you probably won’t use, because you know how to make the blue tortoise shell work. The Mario and Luigi bundles, appear to be limited to the UK, and exclusive to Nintendo's online store.

Mario Kart 8 brings the long-running racer series to the Wii-U finally. It also features new elements like zero-g racing, piranha plant items, and lots of race cars. Underwater tracks are returning, and hopefully we will see some downloadable content for the game, but only time will tell.

With Mario and friends in tow, we’ll drift around corners to get you the info you need, as more is revealed.

Princess Peach gets her own Wii remote finally?

princess peach remote
Will there be a Princess Peach Wii remote or not?

Its been a while since the Mario and Luigi themed Wii remotes premiered this last season. Princess Peach, or Princess Toadstool depending upon your generation, is finally getting her own Wii remote.

It's neatly priced at $39.99 MSRP. It's quite a shame her controller didn't come out in time for the release of Super Mario 3D Land, or Mario Kart 8, but what's a Princess to do? Either way, this controller is sure to please fans with its elegant Golden D-Pad, two-toned pink accent, and eye catching finish.

The best thing about the themed controllers release, so far is that they match the theme to the body parts of thier corresponding character. I can only hope Rosalina, Wario, Yoshi, Toad, and Bowser controllers are next on the release list.

So, if Princess Peach is your favorite Mario character, or if you need to fulfill your love of all things Princess Peach Pink, pick up this fierce controller on April 24, 2014 at your local retailer. You can use it when you play the new Super Smash Bros. during her final smash to show 'em that girl power counts too.

nintendo direct
Hell yeah!

It sure seems like Nintendo are starting to shake of all the negative comments (and such) regarding the death of the Wii-U. Because lately Nintendo has started to striked back with everything they got. First it was the new trailer for Mario Kart 8 (which kicks so much ass!).

And now it´s time for Nintendo Direct to play SmashBros live on Wii-U and the 3DS. So don´t miss out on the Nintendo Direct stream boys and girls! And oh, it starts at 3 p.m. PT.

"Catch a new Nintendo Direct right here on April 8 at 3 p.m. PT. We will share new details about Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and Nintendo 3DS."

Mario Kart 8 - New courses and Items trailer

wii u mario kart 8
The game that makes me wanna buy a Wii-U.

I think pretty much everyone in the video game industry has admitted that the Wii-U are a big failure by now. But not all is lost. Because there is hope in the shape of Mario Kart 8. In fact, i had no thoughts at all of buying a Wii-U.

But now that i have watched the new Mario Kart 8 trailer. I´m going to buy a Wii-U asap! And luckily enough for us. Mario Kart 8 are set for a release on the 30th of May this summer =) Because something tells me that Mario Kart 8 will become the best game in the series so far.

That´s also why i hope that Nintendo will release a Wii-U Mario Kart 8 bundle. Cuz i would buy that one right away!

About Mario Kart 8:
"Mario Kart 8 brings antigravity to the world of racing! In this game, you can race up vertical walls and across ceilings, introducing true three-dimensional course design! You'll also be able to enjoy some familiar features from more recent titles, such as aerial and submarine racing from Mario Kart 7, as well as the bikes from Mario Kart Wii. Of course, the game also includes global multiplayer and Miiverse integration, letting you share the fun with everyone!"
