Steams Big Picture - The next step for Gaming

Yes, i´m Swedish.
I honestly don't know for how long people have been able to use the "Big Picture" function via Steam on PC. But i gave it a try last night (Steam-API: V016). And i have to say that it´s pretty darn cool impressing. The whole thing feelt like, XBL (or PSN) but for PC instead.
I havn´t had time to play around with all the menus, settings and such for Big Picture. But it feels like it´s the next step for Steam and Gaming. Because Big Picture turns your Steam experience, shopping and chat sections, into a interactive pleasure.
And i wouldn't be that surprised to hear that Big Picture will support both Oculus Rift and a virtual keyboard in the near future. So, have you guys tried out Valves Big Picture yet. If so, what do you think of it so far?
