Guilty Gear XRD coming this fall to PS3 and PS4

Believe it or not. But Guilty Gear XRD uses Epic´s Unreal Engine 3.

Aksys has confirmed that Guilty Gear XRD SIGN will retain some of the franchise's signature systems, such as Roman Cancels, but that many of these systems have been "significantly expanded and improved."

Arc System Works beautifully rendered 2D art, and animations will again be a focal point of the game, and Daisuke Ishiwatari, the famous Guilty Gear composer himself, is again in charge of the soundtrack.

Being described as a fighting game that uses cell-shaded 3D animations instead of sprites, the characters have undergone some changes in design. Ishiwatari has confirmed that the characters, effects, and backgrounds are rendered in full 3D. It is built on the Unreal Engine. The game has been currently announced for a PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 and slated for release in fall of 2014.

I´m quite sure that we can expect some pretty crazy combos in Guilty Gear XRD.

Story:
In the year 1999, mankind completed the scientific theory of limitless energy, dubbed magic. However, man did not discard his ignorance upon obtaining this wisdom. The very magic meant to usher in world peace was instead leveraged as a tool of war, and in time the forbidden biological weapons known as Gears were created. As if to condemn these thoughtless deeds, the Gears developed a will of their own and turned their fangs upon humanity.

The Crusades, a centuries-long struggle for survival against the Gears, finally ended when mankind sealed away the Destroyer, Justice. Though man emerged victorious, many threats yet loom large in the shadows of that hard-fought peace, threatening to engulf the world. And so mankind must continue to atone for the sin of magic.
