Wargame Red Dragon - The overview trailer

wargame red dragon
Bombs away!

I just noticed that Eugen Systems RTS game "Wargame Red Dragon" will be released this spring. And that there´s a brand new trailer for Red Dragon as well, which i just checked out. It´s quite impressive imo. For some reason, it made me think about Command and Conquer (don´t know why though).

So i might just give Wargame Red Dragon a chance this spring!

About Wargame Red Dragon:
"Wargame Red Dragon is the 3rd title in the spectacular Wargame series of real-time strategy games created by Eugen Systems. The series quickly became a new reference point in the RTS genre, beginning with European Escalation, and then its direct sequel, AirLand Battle.

Wargame Red Dragon retains the same core game mechanics that have made the series so successful, but the action leaves Europe for the first time and moves to a conflict in Asia between 1975 and 1991. Wargame Red Dragon once again stretches the limits of the RTS genre, including: dynamic and tense gameplay that demands strategic vision and depth; a spectacular and realistic visual experience; new features such as the warships and maritime units; a perfected dynamic campaign system and much more."

League of Angels - The power of the booty

league of angels
Sex sells, right?

Im probably not the only person that has started to notice all these League of Angels ads that pop up all over the web right now. At first i thought that it was some kind of erotic Playboy fantasy game kind of thing. But no, it´s actually a RPG fantasy browser game.

I have nod idea (whatsoever) if League of Angels are any good though. I just find it kind of disturbing that the whole game seems to focus on half naked women (big boobs and plenty of booty). And when it comes to video games.

If a developer focus a lot on the eye candy department. That´s normally a warning sign. Cuz in 9/10 cases, if the game are really crappy. And the developers use a lot of half naked women to pitch their game to the masses.

Then the game are most likely to be pure utter shit. But hey, i could be wrong. Perhaps League of Angels are a GOTY title? Let´s find out shall we!

About League of Angels:
"Long ago, in the land of Etheria, there was a league. This was not a league of ordinary men, warriors, or craftsmen, but a league of angels! Each angel, reigning over a different part of human life, insured peace and prosperity across the land for thousands of years, in return for humanity’s devotion. Unfortunately, this arrangement was more fragile than people would think.

The forces of darkness, bent on enslaving humanity, and stripping Etheria its natural resources, had risen again. Normally, the angels would rise up, send them back to the shadows, and the people of Etheria would go on, living happy, carefree lives. This time, however, things were different.

The forces of darkness knew something the humans did not, that the angels derived there powers from the Seal of Life, and without this seal, they would be severely weakened. So, this time, they stole the steal, before hatching their plans of death and destruction. Things got so bad; the forces of darkness began hunting the angels, killing them, one by one. Now the angels have turned to the men, they once swore to protect, for help. These heroes of humanity are known simply as “The Brave”, and they have sworn to repay the angels for their years of protection, by leading them into battle, and taking back the Seal of Life."

Blackguards - A turn-based RPG from Daedalic Entertainment

blackguards
Does Blackguards have what it takes to become a epic turn-based RPG game?

It´s been like forever since i played any turn-based RPG game. But i might just give Daedalic Entertainment´s "Blackguards" a try. Cuz it seems to be pretty awesome. However, i wonder if it´s just yet "another" RPG game. Or if Blackguards will offer something new to the genre?

Well, i'm having serious thoughts about geting the Blackguards early access via Steam (it costs 25 Euro). I guess that i just have to make up my mind about the whole thing.

About Blackguards:
"What happens when the only hope of a threatened world lies not with heroes in shining armor, but is placed in the hands of a band of misfits and criminals? Blackguards, the new turn-based RPG by Daedalic Entertainment, explores this very question.

The player takes on the role of a convicted murderer who must use the help of a team of more than questionable characters to save the world from a dark menace. Through this wild chase throughout the South of Aventuria, the world of The Dark Eye, there is more to fight than vicious creatures. Chapter by chapter you’ll encounter a story full of intrigue and surprising twists.

Time and time again, the moral compass of the player will be tested. One does not beat Blackguards without getting their hands dirty. But when life and death are in the player’s hands, how far will they go to reach their goals? The first turn-based RPG by Daedalic Entertainment unites the studio’s high standard of a suspenseful storytelling and unique characters with gripping tactical battles in elaborately crafted 3D-environments.

In a taxing campaign, the player takes part in a dark story full of doubt, betrayal and loss. Over 180 individually crafted battle maps full of interactive objects and strategically complex situations expose the player to exotic locations and put them through deadly trials."
