Battlefield Hardline - A Battlefield spin off
Will BF Hardline take the BF experience to the next level?
EA did indeed leak its own Battlefield spin off, in the form of Battlefield Hardline. The development team of Visceral Games will be handling the project instead of Dice leading us to believe that an ace is up the sleeve of EA. But why go with police S.W.A.T instead of a military shooter as they have always been known for? The answer is simple: Simplicity.
We know that the war between Call of Duty and Battlefield has been continuous for many years, with neither side giving an inch of ground. By going outside of the normal genre, and providing a spin off that fans would not expect, is a broad move by the famous publisher.
S.W.A.T deals with some of the most intense situations, that our modern military face daily, just more localized at home. The exciting part is wondering what we can come to expect will happen with the gameplay inside this installment.
Police car chases, hostage negotiations, and bomb threats are most certainly a given. If you remember that the rival developer Ubisoft has pushed their title Rainbow Six Patriots back indefinitely. This was looked at closely as a rival for modern FPS, but there’s still no word so far. We will most likely see localized campaign, and intense multiplayer action. Battlefield 4 is still providing many players with fantastic levels that are being hailed as the best maps online to date!
With E3 less than a month away can the future of the Battlefield franchise be determined by a Wild card like Battlefield Hardline? As we look forward the big reveal, we will certainly find out.
