Dragon Fin Soup - Soon on Steam!comment_here

I think Dragon Fin Soup will collect $100,000 before the Kickstarter campaign is over.

Things are going really, really well for Grimm Bros and their RPG/tactical action/roguelike game "Dragon Fin Soup". Because not only have Dragon Fin Soup reached it´s Kickstarter goal of $24,000 (Dragon Fin Soup has collected over 48,000 dollars so far!).

Dragon Fin Soup has also been approved to be released on Steam. So the success story continues for Dragon Fin Soup =) But the game and Grimm Bros really deserves it imo.

Press release:
"San Francisco, CA -- March 25, 2014 -- Five-man development team, Grimm Bros, is proud to announce today that its debut title Dragon Fin Soup has been Greenlit on Steam and has simultaneously achieved its Kickstarter goal of $24,000. A beautifully-illustrated hybrid tactical action RPG with roguelike elements, Dragon Fin Soup is set in a fantasy world inspired by fairytales and classic console RPGs.

Dragon Fin Soup has already been in development for more than a year and is scheduled for release on PC, Playstation 3, Playstation 4 and Playstation Vita in 2014. Dragon Fin Soup will also be shown to public for the first time at PAX East in Boston, Massachusetts from April 11-13th. For more information, visit: http://grimm-bros.com/

With over two weeks still remaining in the Kickstarter campaign, backers can now help Grimm Bros unlock enticing stretch goals for Dragon Fin Soup, including new playable characters, new Gameplay Modes, fun features, new weapon packs, new quests, new abilities and much more!

“Needless to say, we are extremely excited to have been Greenlit on Steam at the same time that we achieved our Kickstarter success, all in just two weeks after hitting the Top 20 with great support from the Steam community”, said Grimm Bros CEO, Ash Monif. “We developed the concept and art style for Dragon Fin Soup over a year ago and cannot express how happy we are that gamers and RPG fans agree with us. We are really looking forward to bringing this unique experience to market later this year, thanks to all of you who believe in Dragon Fin Soup as much as we do”!

Combining turn-based dungeon crawl exploration with the classic console RPG style of storytelling, Dragon Fin Soup draws inspiration from beloved childhood fairytales, with a twist. The game starts out with Red Robin, the reimagined version of the classic Red Riding Hood character who is a cheerful, yet raging alcoholic that makes a living as a sword-for-hire and bounty hunter in a remote country village. A year has passed since Robin lost her memory, but the bloody past slowly catches up with her as she discovers a world of murder, conspiracies and
magic.

Kickstarter rewards for backers include limited edition music boxes, art books, plushies, t- shirts, art prints, engraved crystals and hand-drawn illustrations. The Kickstarter stretch goals give gamers the opportunity to determine the scope and scale of Dragon Fin Soup, directly influencing the shape of the game and participating during its development."

About Dragon Fin Soup:
"Dragon Fin Soup is a charming, classic console RPG-style game that blends tactical action and roguelike elements with tales of murder, madness and a splash of dark, humorous libations.

The world of Dragon Fin Soup begins on the back of Asura, a giant dragon-turtle god who swims the multiverse of space-time, players choose to unravel the tale of their character in Story Mode or embark on a journey to discover the wilds of Asura in Survival Mode. With a variety of compelling locations to explore including spider forests, ice caves, abandoned mines, scorching deserts, mushroom forests and haunted mansions, Dragon Fin Soup kicks off the action with the tale of Red Robin, whose bloody dark past comes back to haunt her with a vengeance.

Story mode focuses on storytelling, character progression and exploration. Beginning in a country village where players learn the mysteries of the world and encounter a custom blend of scripted events, crafted story quests and procedurally generated missions.

Survival mode plays like a classic Roguelike and is designed for the thrills and scares that come with exploring the dungeons, permanent death, fighting monsters and surviving to achieve the highest scores."
